Great as a 3rd Computer
ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-VU1X-BK 10.1" has a great form factor and might be good for browsing the internet, watching streaming videos, playing slide shows at restaurants, and reading email. A 10" netbook, IMO, is better suited for those who mostly consume web content, and don't need to use the keyboard often. I purchased the net book to use when I travel, which is only a couple of times a year. I took my net-book on one flight, and found it frustrating to get any work done with the small keyboard, and the poor performance of the track-pad. My net-book ended up just sitting on my shelf so I sold it.
PROS:

Cons:
-Track Pad
-Track Pad is really crappy
-Noisy Fan (this is to be expected on net-books this size)
Suggestions:
If you want something to use in bed, consider a laptop with a back-lit keyboard.
If you need a mobile PC for business, get a 15" laptop instead.
Love it.
It is so handy to take on trips. Works fine. Easy to type on also. It seems like the battery life isn't as long as they say but longer than most. Bought a little wireless mouse for it and it is great. Overall the computer is just what I expected.

This is a great laptop for web browsing and email. We got it for the kids to use for online homework and internet and it works perfectly for that. Don't expect a lot of speed and power but you really can't beat the value you get for the price. Worked perfectly out of the box, starts up fast from cold or standby. Battery life is excellent. Screen and kepboard are small (keyboard is ok but you might want an external monitor). Connected to 802.11n network at top speed.
Excellent... but the power adaptor is starting to die
I love this computer. It works perfect. The battery can give power for more than 9 hours. However, the power adaptor is dying. I called the ASUS support center and they started the process to replace the adaptor. Other reviews said that the ASUS support center was awful. In this case, they behave correctly.
I put 4 of 5 stars only because of the problem with the power adaptor.
Good, cheap 32-bit Windows XP system.
I was looking for a cheap 32-bit Windows XP based PC for my business and this fit the bill perfectly. It fired right up and the only problem we've had is getting it to network with the rest of our Vista machines. But after some tinkering, it is working like it should. A fine product.

Very nice product does everything it's supposed to do well.
Really handy for traveling as it is about half the size of a regular laptop. Good battery life 8.5 to 10 hours depending on use.
Did not come with a manual but it was easy to find it on line.
Very pleased with purchase
I read other good reviews of this product online but was a little sceptical. It came in great shape and does everything promised. I also purchased a mouse as the navigation pad was hard to get just right. The smaller keypad takes some getting used to, but I'm very pleased with this purchase. — frequent reader
